Amram and author Frank McCourt (Angela's Ashes) are collaborating on a new work, "Missa Manhattan", for narrator, chorus and orchestra, celebrating the rich tapestry of cultures that have immigrated to New York City over the past three hundred years, including the Native Americans who were there to greet them.
Amram is beginning work on his 3rd book about his life's work and how music can be the gateway, along with improvisation, to overcome nearly all of life's obstacles.
