Amram's Piano Sonata will be performed by virtuosos Ran Feng and Yoshiko Cline This will be followed by a performance by Amram's Quartet, with Kevin Twigg - Drums and Glockenspiel, Don Miller - Acoustic Bass & Adam Amram - Congas and Percussion. David Amram will be playing Piano, Irish whistles, Chinese Hulusei, French horn, Dumbeck and spontaneous scat-rap free styling. On the bill are the themes he has composed for Elia Kazan's award-winning film Splendor in the Grass, the song Pull my Daisy which he co-wrote with his close friend, Jack Kerouac and his Waltz from Arthur Miller's play After the Fall

The concert will honor all the great folk musicians and singer/songwriters from the 60s and 70s who made Greenwich Village and the World a better place! This unique, multi-artist concert chronicles that tumultuous decade and celebrates the songwriters, such as Bob Dylan, Buffy Sainte-Marie, and Phil Ochs, who made history with songs of self-expression and social protest.

The first official book party for the release of the new book about David Amram called The Many Worlds of David Amram: The Renaissance Man of American Music. Compiled and edited by Dean Birkenkamp, the book has articles written by over 40 authors and artists as well as articles by David Amram. With 8 chapters covering different aspects of David's career, it's a fascinating and wide-ranging picture of Amram’s work and influence.

8:30 - into the wee hours...
The first half of the concert will include 2 of David's Chamber Music compositions. Piano Sonata performed by Thomas Weaver and Greenwich Village Portraits for Alto Saxophone and Piano performed by Boston Symphony's saxophone virtuoso Kenneth Radnodsky and pianist Thomas Weaver.
The second half, with Kevin Twigg, drums and glockenspiel, Rene Hart, bass, Adam Amram, Drums and percussion, featured guest Jerome Harris, guitar, will include Jazz, Latin, Native American & Global Folk Music, Jack Kerouac readings and a bevy of mystery guests.

David will be signing copies of the book throughout this annual 93rd Birthday Gala.
