Workshop - Simple vamps (like E minor to A7), Latin vamps , the Turkish Chiftitelli and the various harmonic styles of the 12-bar blues, from New Orleans second line stop time to Duke Ellington's classic C=Jam Blues to Boogie Woogie , Western Swing and Thelonious Monk's innovations.

Workshop - Explore ways to create songs on the spot, using topics from audience suggestions. This session celebrates the natural human ability to improvise and find musical expression in the moment, drawing parallels between jazz, folk music, and the improvisational traditions found throughout the world.

Amram records the final cuts for his upcoming new album of songs. Commissioned by Nora Guthrie (grand-daughter of Woody), the album features 5 Woody Guthrie songs, a Phil Ochs song and Amram originals. Featuring bassist Rene Hart, drummer Kevin Twigg, guitarist Justin Poindexter, percussionist Adam Amram and David Amram on vocals, piano and various instruments.

The final event will be a concert/poetry reading with David Amram, famed New Orleans percussionist Herman LeBeaux, Adam Amram and others. Beginning with a poem celebrating Bob Kaufman's hundredth birthday, other poets included Frank Messina and Ron Whitehead. The concert will include jazz classics that Hunter loved.
